There are many characters in the Naruto series that fans feel deserved more time and interaction than they received. Tenten, Team Guy's most adorable and down-to-earth member is no exception. Tenten is one of a few characters that get lost in the shuffle, and the potential of her character's storyline is never realized.
Tenten blended Team Guy together, having Rock Lee and Might Guy in the same room can be overwhelming, and Neji Hyuga wasn't a very social individual. Tenten is strong, funny, intelligent, and entertaining to watch, many fans wish they had the opportunity to see more of her.
10 Keeps Up With Neji & Lee
Neji Hyuga was the first shinobi from his class to become a Jonin and Rock Lee found new and innovative ways to become stronger to ensure his title as one of the strongest shinobi in Konoha. With both of those incredible ninja as her teammates, Tenten does not receive the credit she deserves for not only matching their strength but for enduring the weird and strenuous training exercises implemented by their sensei Might Guy.
Tenten doesn't have a kekkai genkai like Neji and isn't as skilled at taijutsu as Lee, and yet she never falls behind and always proves herself to be an incredible asset to their team.
9 She is a Weapon Specialist
Tenten wanted to become a skilled medical ninja, but despite her best efforts, she couldn't maintain the necessary chakra control to become a medical ninja. She didn't let this disappointing realization deter her from her goal of becoming an exceptional kunoichi.
Instead, she enhanced her training and became a skilled weapons specialist. She also evolved her sealing jutsu abilities. Tenten is known to always hit her target and has set herself apart from her class by developing her own skillset.
8 the Waterfall Fight proves Tenten is strong enough to keep up with her extraordinary team
When venturing out on the mission to save Garaa, Team Guy was met with a trap. A seal released clones of themselves that they had to fight. Facing their doppelgängers proved to be an extremely difficult task. They were too evenly matched and fought to exhaustion.
Tenten, like her teammates, continued to fight, even though it seemed as if they were going to be defeated. After Lee reminded them of their daily mantra, to become stronger than the day before, they were able to defeat their clones. Once again, Tenten proves that she is strong enough to keep up with her extraordinary team.
7 She has No Kekkei Genkai
Tenten wasn't born with any special skills. The remarkable kunoichi she becomes is thanks to her determination and drive to be the best. Neji was born with a dojutsu and Lee even held the ability to open the Eight Gates. Many of the young ninja from her class had strong abilities that they were taught through training.
Though Guy was an incredible mentor and sensei, a lot of her development was done through self-motivation. Tenten didn't have any secret abilities or kekkei genkai she could rely on in battle. Despite this fact, it didn't hold her back or render her useless amongst her peers.
6 She Realized She Was Trapped In The Tsukuyomi
Tenten was known for being highly intelligent and observant. This was exemplified when she was trapped inside of the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It was an illusion that brought to life the deepest desires of those trapped inside.
Though Tenten was in a world where Neji was alive again and Lee and Guy operated with the maturity she's been wanting for years, she still felt unsettled. She quickly realized that this world wasn't real and continuously attempted to release herself from it.
5 Corrects Neji During the Chunin Exams
During the Chunin Exams, Neji commented on Sakura and Ino's fight. He wasn't impressed by their skill level and tried to connect their weakness to them being kunoichi.
Tenten quickly corrects him and states that it doesn't matter whether it was a male or female engaged in battle. She is a proud female ninja and her adoration for Tsunade Senju further solidifies her recognition of the impact of strong kunoichi.
4 She's Super Relatable
No matter how strong Tenten is and how intensely she is able to train, she isn't too proud to admit when she hits her limits. She complains about exhaustion whenever she is ready to take a break.
Guy and Lee welcome any opportunity to run, fight, and train endlessly and Tenten is quick to reveal her objections to them. She also doesn't conceal her irritation when her teammates annoy her.
3 The Battle Against Temari is where Tenten's specialties are really displayed for the first time
Tenten's fight against Temari during the Chunin Exams is where her specialties are really displayed for the first time. Temari was a strong kunoichi from another village, and Tenten wasn't aware of how difficult their battle would be until their fight began.
Temari wasn't phased by any of Tenten's efforts. Still, despite the fact that her attacks didn't seem to have any effect, Tenten didn't give up or feel discouraged. She had faith that one of her attacks would eventually be successful. Though she lost her fight, Tenten gave it her all, a quality that would lead to many victories in the future.
2 She Overcame Her Fears Before The War
When facing the Zetsu army at the start of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Tenten was intimidated and afraid. She soon overcame her fear and held her own during battle. She started by launching an attack of a blast of weapons hitting several of the Zetsu clones.
Once she started fighting, she continued on fiercely, eradicating any sign of fear. After their opponent, Kinkaku, began to use the Nine-Tails chakra he possessed, Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji created a formation in order to defeat him. Tenten provided them with support on her own, during her time on this battlefield she operated as a one-man squad.
1 Use of Bashosen During 4th Ninja War
While fighting alone, Tenten came across the Bashosen. The Bashosen is a large fan that has the ability to create all five elements of chakra. With no practice or instruction on how it's used, Tenten wielded the weapon with precision and skill. She was able to battle and defeat Kakazu, a reanimated member of the Akatsuki.
Even though the Bashosen took up a lot of chakra, it didn't stop Tenten from fighting. She continued on in battle as fiercely as when she started, until it caused her to collapse. Later that evening, she begged for it back, the strength she had while using the weapon overpowered the fact that it almost killed her. Tenten took down several enemies with the Bashosen, and gave her team a huge advantage.
