Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Gets Third Season on Nickelodeon

Before its 26-episode Season 2 has even premiered, Nickelodeon has renewed its CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a third season.

Based on the Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird comic turned multimedia franchise, the show debuted in September to 3.9 million viewers, becoming the No. 1 new animated series among boys ages 2 to 11.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles features the voice talents of Jason Biggs (American Pie) as Leonardo, Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as Raphael, Greg Cipes (Ultimate Spider-Man, Teen Titans) as Michelangelo, Rob Paulsen (Animaniacs, Biker Mice from Mars) as Donatello, Mae Whitman (Arrested Development) as April O’Neil, Hoon Lee (Premium Rush) as Master Splinter and Kevin Michael Richardson (Young Justice, Thundercats) as Shredder.

The cable network has yet to announce a premiere date for Season 2.
