Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adds William Fichtner (Plus, Set Photos)

Paramount Pictures' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has likely found its Shredder.

Deadline reports veteran actor William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, The Lone Ranger) has joined the Michael Bay-produced reboot in an unnamed role described as "a lead with iconic stature in the Turtles mythology." Considering that all of the other major characters have been cast, from the four title heroes to their mentor Splinter, who else can it possibly be other than their arch-enemy Shredder, leader of the Foot Clan?

Fichtner joins Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn as Splinter and Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick.

In addition, SuperHeroHype has scored photos from the movie's set that show the pre-CGI Turtles being led in chains out of a Foot Clan van.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens June 6, 2014.
