Robin, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy could receive some backup from Titans East in future episodes of Teen Titans Go!

Teen Titans Go! has aired on Cartoon Network since 2013, but guest stars have been limited, which producer Michael Jelenic noted is no accident.

“I think mostly when we write episodes we’re sort of focused on the cast,” he told ComicBook.com. “We don’t really bring in too many guest stars just because that complicates production and our schedule is very aggressive, as I like to say.”

But with the series closing in on its 200th episode, is there a chance producers will celebrate the milestone with some cameos? “I think if we keep going, and it seems like we’re going to keep going, we’ll probably start exploring some maybe other versions of Teen Titans, like Titans East, and eventually replace the cast,” Jelenic said.

Introduced in a 2005 episode of Teen Titans, Titans East consisted of Bumblebee, Speedy, Aqualad and Más y Menos, with Cyborg serving as their original leader. Originally formed to help defeat Brother Blood, they served as protectors of Steel City, and backup defenders of Jump City when the Titans were called out of town.
