In celebration of 20 years of Harry Potter, Cartoon Network sorted three Teen Titans into their respective Hogwarts Houses."The Teen Titans have been sorted into their own Hogwarts houses to celebrate #20YearsOfMovieMagic!" wrote Cartoon Network. Accompanying the text was an image of Raven as a Ravenclaw, Cyborg as a Gryffindor and Beast Boy as a Slytherin. Robin and Starfire were noticeably absent.Related: Anakin Skywalker vs. Harry Potter: Which Chosen One Reigns Supreme?

"Raven in Ravenclaw. Who could have guessed?" Raven asked the sorting hat. Beast Boy is shown transforming into a snake, commenting, "You know I'm Slytherin." Cyborg exclaimed, "10 points for Gryffindor!"

While some fans were excited to see their favorite Teen Titans characters sorted into Hogwarts houses, others were disappointed in Cartoon Network for associating with the now-controversial author of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling. "Not really digging TERF Titans," one fan replied. "I love you, [Cartoon Network], but you can't pretend to be pro trans acceptance with stuff like Steven Universe and then turn around and do stuff like this. It's uncool," another wrote. A third critic tweeted, "Completely messed up of [Cartoon Network] to promote a TERF. Disappointed."  Rowling was embroiled in controversy in 2020 when she was branded a TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) after writing a heavily criticized essay on her thoughts about gender that read as anti-trans. Around the same time, the author also released a book that contained an offensive portrayal of a cross-dressing serial killer. Many fans and readers felt that the representation was not tasteful and was a clear caricature of a predatory trans woman.
