A few of these pieces were released to coincide with certain events. For instance, his art of Carol Danvers coincided with the release of Captain Marvel. He posted Hellboy artwork on Hellboy Day, which took place close to the release of the upcoming Hellboy film. On his Twitter, Hipp shares plenty of artwork, and not just of comic book characters. He has also turned his pencil on Snorlax, a slumbering Mario and an irate Jigglypuff.

The anime-inspired Teen Titans aired for five seasons, from 2003 to 2006, and inspired a spinoff/successor, the more slapstick Teen Titans Go!. Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans is confirmed for a 2019 release, though few details are available at the time of writing.
