It's hard to pick favorites when it comes to superhero costumes primarily because there is never just one costume. From mere color alterations to complete wardrobe shifts, the Teen Titans have gone through multiple outfits over the years. But let's take a step back to where it all began. Here are the top 10 original costumes of some of your favorite Teen Titans.

10 Robin

Oh Robin, you Boy Wonder. Where did it all go wrong? Well, if you start with that highly peculiar choice of color, it's evident that Batman had no influence on his wardrobe at all. Moreover, it seems like wearing just underwear was a signature move for a superhero back in the days. Wait, is that a gill pattern? Yikes.

It's understandable how this sort of outfits could appeal to a certain type of audience. But in general, this one is very clearly a big, "Thank you, next!"

9 Starfire

Starfire's outfits have always been controversial throughout the years. Can you guess why? Well, maybe it's because you can't really see her costume most of the time. Her "suit of armor" has always left nothing to the imagination and that doesn't seem very "superhero" like, does it? Fans are more than relieved that her original wardrobe has undergone immense changes, all for the better.

8 Speedy

The original Speedy costume feels a lot like someone you would see in a cleaning ad. Plus, those yellow gloves are certainly not helping anything. The bright shade of red contrasting with an equivalently-blinding shade of yellow makes this costume a little hard to look at for over ten seconds. Fans are thankful that in his later upgrades he pivots toward darker shades.

7 Superboy

Superboy's outfit feels more like the first thing a superhero buff would pick out of a discounted sale. What could go wrong with a casual pair of jeans and a nice black tee? Well, a lot if you're a superhero.

Don't take this the other way; it doesn't actually look half bad. However, is this something you would expect your favorite Titan to wear? Of course, not. It's more comparable to what you would wear to go buy groceries.

6 Terra

Terra

Terra's fashion sense has always been at the 'laughable' end of the spectrum. However, this outfit is not half bad. Again, recall what the competition was back in those days. The yellow belt certainly ties her whole look together. The braces on the boots work immaculately but other than that it looks slightly overdone. Lastly, the mask could have been a little classier. It falls short of a posh masquerade party and gives more of a 'swiper no swiping' vibe.

5 Kid Flash

Can you see a pattern emerging? Why was red-yellow such a huge thing? Regardless, superhero onesies don't always work out like you would hope. However, Kid Flash pulls it off rather nicely; with his perfectly toned set abs and triceps in full visibility. This one is somewhat of a positive.

4 Wonder Girl

Although her newest costume is a huge upgrade to the original, the latter still stands as acceptable superhero attire; especially if you compare it to the list that's already been covered. The original Wonder Girl makes it perfectly clear that you can't go wrong with all red (dark, of course) and a shiny gold belt. And when you add those classy boots to match her hair, it all ties together rather nicely.

3 Beast Boy

Beast Boy is at the fashionable end of the list. This means something was terribly wrong with the '60s. Thankfully, his outfit sways from the red-yellow norm and lands on a much more chic look. The silver-chocolate combination does not look half bad.

In fact, it keeps his whole look toned down, in a great way. With this look, he must have had better popularity back in the days, right?

2 Cyborg

Would you technically call this an outfit since it's more like his own body? Nevertheless, Cyborg's 'outfits' over the years have never failed to entice. Although they have had minor tweaking here and there, it can be argued that this was one superhero look of the '60s that fans would definitely like to have back. While the current version has not veered that far from this one, fans do believe that Cyborg's look has stayed consistently strong over the years.

1 Raven

Raven's look has always been a masterpiece from day one. She has singlehandedly proven that you can't ever go wrong with a sleek black-purple outfit. This Teen Titan manages to immaculately pull off a mysterious-sexy vibe while looking incredibly strong at the same time. First off, let's address that snazzy cape hoodie. It definitely oozes class and communicates her wrath pretty well. Those incredibly chic, thigh-high boots and long gloves not only elevate her coolness, but also help to provide a sensible amount of coverage for a superhero. Not shockingly, it's something that no creator considers that females in battle would actually need. When you top all that off with a classy gold belt, it feels like a whole new mood!
