Starfire and Raven have been two of the most iconic members of Teen Titans in the DC Universe. The two have starred not only in the comics, but also in the animated series Teen Titans, Teen Titans GO!, the animated Teen Titans movies, and now in the live-action Titans. Despite their differences, the two girls share a deep friendship through most of the media they are featured in.

Both Starfire and Raven's powers are based on their emotions, and while they share similar abilities such as flight, their uses are vastly different. Raven is a powerful empath whose telekinetic power is based on her meditation and the result of being a Cambion (offspring of a demon and human). Starfire, on the other hand, is an alien with the ability to harness solar energy. Starfire later was experimented on by alien scientists which gave her the powers of starbolts, ultraviolet energy beams. Here is a breakdown of which Titan is the strongest.

10 Strength: Starfire

When it comes to natural strength, Starfire is the winner here. Due to the differing gravities and ultraviolet radiation her powers are harnessed from, Starfire has multiple superhuman abilities. One of them is inhuman strength. In the animated Teen Titans show, Starfire is shown being able to lift cars and is often shown competing with Cyborg to see which Titan was stronger. While Raven is mentally strong, having to constantly fight off her father, the Princess of Tamaran's physical strength far outweighs the former.

9 Intellect: Raven

As an empath, Raven is incredibly smart. She can easily read and sense people's emotions without even needing to speak to them. Raven can also use her abilities to influence others' emotions, such as suppress negativity, reduce stress, steal the emotions altogether, and even make someone fall in love with her.

Raven has a deep understanding of magic and how to use it. Her powers and abilities are in such a wide spectrum that she must know how to use it without causing damage to herself and her team. Raven also has limited pre-cognition, involuntarily showing her glimpses of things that are about to happen.

8 Personality: Starfire

Starfire daydreams out of a window in DC's Teen Titans animated series.

In nearly all adaptations of Starfire, she always has such a kind personality. Even though she packs a powerful punch, Starfire is typically on the gentle side. She holds a lot of love for her friends and will do anything to protect them. This is why in the Teen Titans animated movie, Starfire became a teacher for the new Titans to learn from. She is patient and nurturing.

Starfire is even good to her sister, Blackfire (Komand'r) who has tried to kill her a number of times. Each time Blackfire comes back, Star tries to welcome her with open arms, with love.

7 Evil Family Relative: Raven

While both of the Titan heroines have extremely evil relatives, Raven's father Trigon takes the prize. Trigon is a literal demon that impregnated Raven's human mother. Said to be one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe, Trigon can travel throughout dimensions and has enslaved countless worlds under his name. But all the planets in his dimension just wasn't enough. Trigon planned on conquering Earth and Raven vowed to stop him. Even after the Titans locked him away in an interdimensional prison, Trigon was still able to hold influence over Raven, making her constantly wary of her emotions. Trigon acts as a constant threat to both Raven and the Teen Titans.

6 Heart: Starfire

While Starfire's personality has already been mentioned on this list, her heart is worthy of another category all together. Starfire's powers stem from her emotions, particularly, her joy. She is a being made up of happiness, who thrives on it. As was mentioned in the 2003 Teen Titans season 1, episode 7 "Switched" in which Raven and Starfire switch bodies. Raven has difficulties flying due to her lack of happiness, but once she begins experiencing it, she is then able to fly with no qualms. Starfire must always think optimistically in order to use her abilities.

On the other hand, Starfire has such a large heart for her friends. She constantly tries to make them happier and bring peace, love, and joy to all around her.

5 Powers: Raven

As mentioned, Raven has a vast amount of powers that derive from emotions. She can affect others' emotions in a wide number of ways. But Raven can also manipulate, control, and create shadows and darkness. She can create a shadow raven, which she calls her soul-self, with the ability to travel, communicate telepathically with whomever she decides, and can subdue one person at a time. Raven can also call upon magic like that of a sorceress, creating large electrical blasts with the ability to take on a wide number at a time. With all of this, and the ability to fly, Raven can also create hallucinations, manipulate time, and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

4 Experience: Starfire

Due to the fact that Raven has needed to suppress her own emotions and powers for the majority of her youth, Starfire has way more experience as a hero and with her powers. Starfire is born as the princess and heir to the Tamaran throne. And because she is heir to the throne, Starfire has learned how to defend it. She has been trained in combat as a warrior and has fought in some of the Tamaranean wars. After going to Earth, Starfire quickly joined the Teen Titans and used her powers to fight evil. She is one of the original Titans and therefore has had much longer experience than Raven.

3 Can Destroy The World: Raven

Due to a mix of her lineage and her own powers, Raven has the ability to destroy the entire earth. In reality, Raven is more powerful than her father. She is constantly being influenced by one of the most powerful evil beings in the DC Universe, but rejects it every time. She chooses to be good.

With the power that Raven harnesses she could easily cover the world in a blanket of shadows, swallowing it up completely. She has in the past defeated the rest of the Titans team with just a single blast of telekinetic powers. If Raven were to fully embrace her dark self, she would surely be a threat not even the Justice League could handle.

2 Durability: Starfire

While Starfire's Starbolts and ultraviolet powers are impressive, her alien genes that grant her inhuman abilities are better suited for this gracious superhero. Some of those abilities include superhuman durability, stamina, and near invulnerability. This means that Starfire can withstand a majority of things thrown her way. Starfire could be compared to a slightly downplayed version of Superman. The two share, speed, flight, strength, and different forms of ray beams. Starfires invulnerability and stellar energy absorption allows for her to be the more durable out of the two heroines.

1 Who Is The Stronger Titan: Raven

While the two would probably never get into a serious fight unless Raven was under the direct possession of her father, it is pretty easy to see that Raven would be the winner of this match. Starfire is incredibly powerful with her starbolts, stellar energy absorption, and superhuman abilities. However, when rivaled against Raven's telekinetic, world-ending powers, Starfire would be outmatched.

With this in mind, however, Starfire and Raven are sure to make a most powerful duo, probably being the strongest pair within the Teen Titans overall.
