You'd think that Alexis Bledel would be bored of playing roles that are far younger than her own 29 years by now, but apparently not; the former Rory Gilmore has signed on to play one of a pair of teenage assassins in the upcoming Violet and Daisy.
The movie, described as "a cross between Thelma and Louise, Superbad and Pulp Fiction", will also star James Gandolfini and The Lovely Bones' Saoirse Ronan, who'll play Beldel's fellow underage hitgirl. As if the casting wasn't strange enough, the movie is the directorial debut of its writer, Precious: Based On The Novel "Push" By Sapphire's Oscar-winning Geoffrey Fletcher. Because the first thing you thought when you saw that movie was "Well, it'll be teenage hit girls and violent comedic dramas for him from now on."
The movie starts production next week.
