Official Press Release
THE CREATORS OF THE AWARD WINNING AND FAN FAVORITE COMIC BOOK SERIES "THE RED STAR" CONFIRM ASSASSIN #1 IS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT AND OUT OF PRINT.
ASSASSIN, the second comic book series ever released from Archangel Studios, creators of The Red Star, has been received with unanimous critical and popular success. All copies of ASSASSIN #1 at the distributor level are sold out and no longer available. Brad Kayl writer of Assassin and co-author of The Red Star, said "This is amazing. Early signs all pointed to this happening, but I just didn't dare believe them. I'm so happy I was wrong."
ASSASSIN is a gripping and timely tale of government corruption from the point of view of Samuel, the greatest State Assassin that ever lived. After murdering a messiah, Samuel experiences a crisis of faith and turns his sights on his former masters in an attempt to regain his lost humanity. The story takes place a hundred years into the future in an Empire formerly known as The United States of America and employs a unique combination of Computer 3D effects and pencil art to capture a "future-noir" cinematic style all its own. Jet Henderson, ASSASSIN artist said, "Samuel is a one man revolution and a joy to bring to life. I'm so thankful that the fans have responded with such enthusiasm."
Although ASSASSIN #1 is completely sold out at Diamond Comic Distributors it may still be available at local comic book shops. Archangel Studios has shipped all remaining copies to its distributor in an attempt to satisfy demand. Please check with your local comics retailer for further details.
ASSASSIN #2, the second book in the four issue story arc is currently solicited in the July 2003 Diamond Previews for products shipping in September, Diamond order#JUL031988. Red Star Creator Chris Gossett said in parting, "I just want to thank everyone for this. I especially would like to thank all the retailers who took the time to push this book. I'd also like to humbly remind them to increase orders for #2 so we can keep this momentum going."
