Titans Live-Action TV Series Casts Its Raven

Australian newcomer Teagan Croft has been cast as Raven in DC's upcoming live-action Titans series, set to debut on the yet-named direct-to-consumer streaming service.

Raven is the half-demon daughter of Trigon, one of the DC Universe's otherworldly evil forces, burdened with an empathic power that forces her to keep her emotions in check or risk succumbing to her demonic heritage. This will be her first live-action incarnation, despite years spent as an animated fan-favorite.

Titans will be Croft's first production in the United States.

The series went into production last month, as confirmed on twitter by DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, and is being written by Johns himself, Akiva Goldsman, Sarah Schechter and the Arrowverse's own Greg Berlanti.

The series, and the streaming service on which it will be available, are scheduled to debut in 2018.
