During his recent Reddit AMA session, Channing Tatum spoke about incoming "Gambit" director Rupert Wyatt. Tatum didn't stop there when it came to X-Men-related reveals; when asked if he would appear in the currently-filming "X-Men: Apocalypse," the actor gave an incredibly frank answer.

"No ma'am, or sir," replied Tatum. "I definitely will not."

There's been a lot of speculation that Tatum's Gambit would be included in the film, speculation that actually started with director Bryan Singer back in 2014. In the early stages of the film's production, Singer said he was considering including a young Nightcrawler and Gambit in the film. A teenage Nightcrawler was added to the film, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, but no announcement was ever made regarding Gambit or Tatum's involvement. That didn't stop rumors from persisting that everyone from Tatum to Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry would appear in the film; Tatum's definitive answer should squash those rumors.

The "21 Jump Street" star was also asked if he'd ever consider joining another franchise, specifically the James Bond movie series.

"Oh that's tough. It would be a very hard turn down," wrote Tatum. "But i don't know. There is a very strong strong voice inside that tells me James Bond probably should always be a true United Kingdomer. I'm all down for changing things completely but the true nature of 007 is i feel just very innately english, it shouldn't be an american putting on an english accent."

Tatum will debut his Cajun accent in "Gambit," which opens October 7, 2016.
