A generally amicable person, Okuyasu constantly attempted to reach out to his friends in hopes of bonding with them. His need for companionship was likely due to the death of his brother, Keicho Nijimura. Forced to take care of his father on his own, Okuyasu took whatever chance he had for a good conversation.

8 Escanor Frequently Gloated To Enemies

Seven Deadly Sins

Seven Deadly Sins - Escanor

Seven Deadly Sins' Escanor loved to talk. Whether as a simpering coward in his night form or the giant he's most well known as, there are seldom instances where he enjoyed peace and quiet. In battle, Escanor enjoyed taunting his enemies by reminding them of how comparatively weak they were.

Whenever they felt as though they had a chance of victory through allies or a hidden technique, Escanor famously asked them "Who decided that?" He was similarly talkative in his battle with Meliodas, even stating that he wanted to fight the captain regardless of demonic influence.

Fire Force

Arthur Boyle from Fire Force.

Fire Force's Arthur was one of the strongest members of Company Eight. His plasma sword could rend and cut through anything, making there few limits to what he could do. However, Arthur constantly needed to be immersed when fighting and pretended as if he was a medieval knight.

His comrades needed to enable his fantasies in order for him to fight optimally. Arthur constantly "cast" his villains as monstrous mythical creatures and often told them as such in the midst of battle.

One Piece

Luffy with a water tank

Luffy's inability to keep quiet has been a major obstacle in One Piece. This was especially true in the beginning of the series, where he did not always have the strength to protect himself after declaring his status as a pirate.

Quick to make friends and condemn enemies, Luffy's larger-than-life attitude has earned adulation across the Grand Line. It was a major component in the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, even compelling many characters to believe that he would single-handedly liberate the world one day. Luffy's newfound strength makes his brashness less costly.

Despite risking her life every day, she never failed to enjoy a party and strike up a conversation with her friends. She took a keen interest in David and claimed that he only rejected her since she wasn't withdrawn and moody enough.

Rebecca's talkativeness was a valuable asset since she always spoke what was on her mind. She did not mince words when telling David that his increasing number of cybernetics put him at serious risk of psychosis and that saving Lucy courted certain death. In the end, Rebecca was right on both counts.

1 Naruto Talked Enemies Out Of Villainy

Naruto

Naruto tries to persuade Obito to change in Naruto.

Naruto's titular protagonis famously put his mouth to use. Rather than defeating or killing his enemies, he almost always talked them out of whatever machinations they'd spent their lives developing. He employed this strategy so often that fans unofficially dubbed it "Talk No Jutsu."

All the same, Naruto's diplomacy came in handy. Obito saved his life in the final battle against Kaguya, and Pain revived those unjustly murdered during his attack. Naruto's strategy lacked practicality, but its results spoke for themselves.
