When Marvel first announced Thor: Love and Thunder, the big surprise came when the studio confirmed Natalie Portman would return as Jane Foster. But the actress wouldn't just reprise the role of the astrophysicist she played in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World -- she would now also wield Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor, taking inspiration from Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman's comic series of the same name.Since the comic saw Jane Foster take the place of Thor, certain fans may have wondered if the same situation would unfold in the film. However, director Taika Waititi has now confirmed Love and Thunder is, indeed, a Thor film.RELATED: Thor: Love and Thunder: Waititi Explains Why Natalie Portman is ReturningWhen asked by MTV who the star of Thor: Love and Thunder was, Chris Hemsworth or Natalie Portman, Waititi answered: "It's Chris.
