Summary

Tusk is a horror/comedy film by director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats), starring Justin Long and Michael Parks. When Wallace Bryton (Justin Long), a crude and arrogant podcaster, decides to tackle a unique interview in Canada, he ridicules the locals and their customs before his arrival at his meeting. However, the discussion may be more than Wallace bargained for, as his interview with the curious Howard Howe (Michael Parks) turns from what seems like a ludicrous tale into a real-life horror situation. After hearing the tale of the Walrus that saved Howard's life, Wallace soon finds himself as his prisoner. Struggling to escape while his friends and a detective that has been searching for years, fear grips Wallace as he ponders what fate lies in store for him, hoping he's saved before time runs out. Tusk is the first of three films in Kevin Smith's "True North Trilogy," a collection of Canadian-focused films planned. The movie first aired at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6 2014, and in theaters on September 19 2014.
