Summary
Trigun is an anime series based on the manga created by Yasuhiro Nightow that follows Vash the Stampede, a man with a sixty-billion-double-dollar bounty on his head for accidentally destroying a city with his unknown powers. Vash is followed by Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, two members of the Bernadelli Insurance Society. They try to help keep damage low while Vash strolls about through whatever town he appears in, thanks to the endless string of bounty hunters after him. Vash, a pacifist who hates violence but is a stellar gunman, has amnesia about the incident and seeks to recall his childhood memories and what happened the day he became a wanted man. The series slowly unearths Vash's mysterious past and all the other legends hidden on the planet Gunsmoke. Trigun recently had a reboot anime series announced titled "Trigun Stampede," which is expected to begin airing in 2023.
