Development Deal: Adam Strange

If there’s one thing that a quick look at the current state of television and movies will tell you, it’s that there’s not much need for original ideas when there’s so much out there ready and waiting to be adapted, updated or just outright ripped off. That’s why we’ve decided to help in that process with a series that offers up some of the things we’d like to see being brought to big screen or small. This week’s suggestion? Adam Strange.

Bringing "R.E.B.E.L.S." To The Masses

Tony Bedard has been unleashing an epic battle in the opening story arc of the critically acclaimed "R.E.B.E.L.S.," and an upcoming crossover with "Blackest Night" should expose the title to a much wider audience.

Paul Pope, who wrote and illustrated an Adam Strange strip for the weekly series, explains how he channeled Steve Ditko and Carl Jung to tell his story, and Mark Chiarello joins us with some final thoughts on "Wednesday Comics."

The last word on work-for-hire... again! Plus comics reviews, Republican logic, the Adam Strange that never was, the Apple life, reply to Spurgeon and tons of other notes in this week's PERMANENT DAMAGE by Steven Grant.
