To celebrate Women's History Month this March, IDW Publishing has announced that they are joining forces with Hasbro to publish a 48-page anthology titled Synergy: A Hasbro Creators Showcase.

Synergy will feature five brand-new stories, including autobiographical works by Mairghread Scott (with Sara Pitre-Durocher) and Katie Cook. Additionally, the anthology also boasts original stories from the worlds of G.I. Joe, Transformers and Jem and the Holograms.

The book will also contain four new pin-ups, as well as a 13-image gallery of work from IDW's archives that will highlight the contributions women have made or are getting ready to make to Hasbro.

"Transformers is a brand that shaped both my childhood and adult life," said Scott. "I'm grateful for the chance to talk about what these amazing robots have meant to me, and others, over the years."

"Hasbro was such an integral part of my upbringing," Kook added. "My Little Pony inspired a youth full of pastel imaginings and became a huge part of my cartooning career as I got the chance to make those imaginings real. I bonded with childhood friends over ponies in the 1980s, and as an adult, I crafted stories for My Little Pony alongside creators who have become the friends of a lifetime."

"This is a great coming together of creative talent and an amazing showcase for a host of wonderful authors, artists and colorists - both old and new," Synergy editor Megan Brown said. "I am beyond thrilled to be editing this compilation, and to be given the chance to highlight the amazing work of women in the comics industry."
