Sylvester Stallone shared a poster for his upcoming Rocky IV director's cut, entitled Rocky vs. Drago.

"Rocky vs Drago !!!" Stallone wrote on Instagram to accompany the poster. "Coming pretty soon. It will Premier in Philly which is going to be fantastic!" The poster features Rocky Balboa standing in the corner of a boxing ring in silhouette as the presence of Ivan Drago looms above. Notably, the title reads "Rocky IV Director's Cut" rather than Rocky vs. Drago, which Stallone previously implied would be the new name of the film.

Stallone confirmed the completion of his Rocky IV director's cut in April, saying, "[A movie's] never complete. I've said this before, you can go back and see a movie that you've done 50 years ago [and be like] 'God, I would love to re-edit that.' And every director feels that same way. It's not about making a movie, it's about remaking [it]. Unfortunately, you run out of time, you run out of money -- they basically throw you out of the [editing] room. So, therefore, you don't get a chance. But, on [Rocky IV], we finally got a chance, so I'm feeling great about this."

After reclaiming the boxing championship title, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) plans to retire and live with his wife, Adrian (Talia Shire). However, during an exhibition match, Rocky's friend Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) is mercilessly beaten to death by hulking Russian newcomer Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). Rocky vows payback against Drago and flies to Russia to train for a Christmas Day fight. Despite their different training methods, Rocky and Drago both wage a long and intense match.

Written and directed by Sylvester Stallone, Rocky IV stars Stallone, Carl Weathers, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Brigitte Nielson and Dolph Lundgren. Rocky vs. Drago has yet to receive a release date.
