Syfy Tries To Find New Format, Length For <i>Three Inches</i>

Just because Alphas has been given a series order doesn’t mean that Syfy’s other superhero pilot, Three Inches is in trouble – In fact, the network is currently considering ways to get both shows on the air without too much crossover.

Three Inches, which centers around a slacker telekinetic who can move objects three inches with his powers and sets out to gather others with similar powers into a team, may not have made it to series first, but according to Syfy’s EVP of original programming Mark Stern, that’s just because it’s not quite ready yet:

We loved the cast and the directing, and the writing was fantastic but it’s very similar to Alphas… [W]e have to figure out a way so both show can live on our air.

According to Deadline, it’s currently being looked at whether the show can be retooled as a half-hour single camera show, a format the channel has been wanting to develop for some time. Second pilot ahoy, most likely…
