Syfy has expanded on its plans to provide popular content online to stream for free with ads, entertaining those self-isolating at home in the face of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in addition to two linear broadcast marathons in the network itself.

After previously making all four seasons of the 2004 revival Battlestar Galactica revival and it television movie finale available to stream through Syfy.com and the NBCUniversal OneApp, Syfy has announced a nonstop broadcast marathon through the Syfy network starting at midnight EST on April 20. The marathon will include the two-part television miniseries and be hosted by Tricia Helfer, with surprise appearances throughout the broadcast.

Additionally, Syfy Wire's Battlestar Galacticast is available to stream through the website and most podcast platforms, hosted by Helfer and prolific podcaster and television writer Marc Bernardin. On April 20, the podcast will release a special episode, reuniting the main cast for a live reading of the series' pilot episode.

Similarly, a Xena: Warrior Princess marathon will begin every Thursday morning and afternoon, starting April 16 on Syfy and for those looking to stream, the series is currently available in its entirety via Syfy.com and NBCU’s OneApp. A broadcast marathon on the Syfy network will be hosted by series star Lucy Lawless, with special appearances hinted at over the course of the run. The Xena marathon is presented by SYFY Fangrrls.
