A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Sword Art Online Progressive movie, Aria of a Starless Night.

Aria of a Starless Night will premiere in Japan on Oct. 30 in both standard theaters and in IMAX. The trailer previews the movie's new theme song, "Yuke," which is performed by Japanese pop star LiSA, who previously provided the Sword Art Online TV anime's original theme song, and is also best known for "Gurenge," the original opening theme for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. An international release date for Aria of a Starless Night has not yet been announced, but the series' official Twitter account has assured fans of the isekai anime that details about the movie's release outside of Japan are coming soon.

The new trailer concentrates heavily on the relationship between series heroine Asuna and her classmate, Minori Inase, who is known as "Mito" within the virtual online world of Sword Art Online. Inase is shown introducing the game of SAO to Asuna, and later promises to protect her when the game blocks players from logging off and the announcement is made that any in-game deaths will also result in the death of the player in real life. The trailer also showcases Asuna's first meeting with SAO's central protagonist, Kirito.

Haruka Tomatsu will return to reprise the role of Asuna, as will Kirito's voice actor, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Aria of a Starless Night is directed by Ayako Kohno, who previously worked on Seven Deadly Sins The Movie and the Bleach franchise. The movie will feature a soundtrack from veteran anime and video game composer Yuki Kajiura, who previously worked on the Sword Art Online TV series, as well as Demon Slayer and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.

The original Sword Art Online anime is available for streaming on Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll.
