Swamp Thing's executive producer/pilot director Len Wiseman has given fans a tour of one of the DC Universe show's sets in a new video.
Wiseman posted the video, which appears to show off a swamp being used for production, to Instagram. The area itself is dark and filled with mist and features gondolier music plays over various short clips of locations at the shooting site, which is almost certainly Greenfield Lake in Wilmington, North Carolina. Although the behind-the-scenes video doesn't reveal much about the upcoming show's plot, it does give a good look at the setting in which some of Swamp Thing's key moments will take place.
Earlier this week, Wiseman released an image of himself alongside series leads Andy Bean and Crystal Reed, who play the characters of Alec Holland and Abby Arcane, respectively. A video showing a controlled explosion at Greenfield Lake surfaced online earlier this month. Fans of the DC comics are likely familiar with such an explosion being the moment Alec Holland met his demise, which birthed the elemental anti-hero known as the Swamp Thing.
Executive produced by James Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman, Swamp Thing will premiere sometime in 2019 on the DC Universe. The supernatural horror series stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade and Kevin Durand.
