In order to celebrate Earth Day 2019, two new posters for DC Universe's Swamp Thing series have been revealed.The first of the two promotional images was posted to the series' official Twitter account. This poster features the titular creature submerged in the water with his bright red eyes peering at the viewer. Additionally, the poster is accompanied by a caption, reading, "It's not Earth Day without Swamp Thing."

Meanwhile, the second poster was uploaded to Facebook by Derek Mears, the actor who will actually be behind the Swamp Thing suit in the upcoming series. In this poster, the creature looms large, taking up the whole image as he stands against a black background.

In front of Mears' Swamp Thing is a quote from author Ernest Hemingway's 1940 novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, which reads, "The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for."

Moreover, Mears' caption reads, "Protect the Green," which references the Green, an elemental force that connects all plant life that is protected by Swamp Thing.

Executive produced by James Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman, Swamp Thing premieres May 31 on DC Universe. The supernatural horror series stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade and Kevin Durand.
