Jena Malone ("The Hunger Games"), the actress who is suspected to be playing Barbara Gordon in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," has been cut from the theatrical print of the film. However, we'll still be seeing her in the extended R-rated extended cut of the pic, releasing in select theaters.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Malone didn't make it into the "Man of Steel" sequel's 151-minute runtime, despite having some scenes in the R-rated cut, also being released.

Malone was rumored to be playing Barbara Gordon -- the alter ego of Batgirl -- in the film, after months of speculation that she could be portraying the "Dark Knight Returns" incarnation of Robin, Carie Kelley. As of yet, it's still uncofirmed as to who Malone will be playing in "Batman v Superman."

Directed by Zack Snyder, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 25.
