Before Supernatural ends with its current 15th and final season, fans can look forward to another episode that will focus on younger versions of Sam and Dean Winchester.

The younger Winchesters have been previously portrayed by Colin Ford and Dylan Everett in Season 11, but new casting information from TVLine indicates The CW is seeking a 9-year-old for Sam and a 13-year-old for Dean. There is no word on whether the episode sets up or ties to the finale.

The story revolving around these younger Winchesters will be one of the series’ final episodes -- most likely to give fans a sensation of how far the brothers have come since they first began hunting together, further heightening the emotional understanding that this season will be its last.

Created by Eric Kripke, Supernatural centers on Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who traverse the country in their classic Chevy Impala while hunting demons, ghosts, monsters and other supernatural entities. In 2016, it became the longest-running American live-action fantasy series of all-time with 11 seasons. It's current, final season, which premiered in October, consists of 20 episodes and will end on May 18.

Returning Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, the final season of Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
