The premiere for the fifteenth and final season of Supernatural will hit the ground running, with the Winchester Brothers facing all the souls unleashed from hell.

The CW released the official plot synopsis for the Season 15 premiere. The episode picks up from Season 14's cliffhanger ending, as the dead rise to bring hell on Earth. Only Sam, Dean and Castiel stand between the world and certain doom once again.

“Back to the Future” – (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV) -- THE BEGINNING OF THE END – Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again. In the Season 14 finale, the Winchesters attempted to kill God. In retaliation, the infuriated deity decided to bring about the apocalypse, triggered by hordes of the undead arriving on Earth.

It was announced earlier this year that the upcoming fifteenth season of Supernatural would be its last, ending the long-running CW series that found two brothers combating all manner of paranormal threats to save life on Earth.

Returning Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW for its final season, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
