'Supernatural' Promotes Mark Sheppard to Series Regular

Supernatural viewers will be seeing a lot more of the King of Hell next season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the long-running CW drama has promoted Mark Sheppard to series regular for the 10th season. He joins Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins in the main cast.

Sheppard plays the fan-favorite demon Crowley, who was introduced as King of the Crossroads in Season 5 before going on to secure the throne of Hell. He's become a staple of the series, sometimes opposing the Winchesters while other times assisting them (although almost always f0r his own gain).

A veteran of genre television, Sheppard has also appeared on such series as Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who and Dollhouse.
