Supernatural predicted Jared Padalecki's Walker, Texas Ranger role long before the reboot was a twinkle in his eye.

In the Season 6 episode "Frontierland," Sam and Dean Winchester travel back in time to meet Samuel Colt, who created a gun with demon-killing bullets. Thanks to a little angel magic from Castiel, they found themselves in Sunrise, Wyoming on March 4, 1861.

In an effort to locate Colt, Dean sought out the bartender at the local saloon. He introduced his brother Sam, as played by Padalecki, as "Walker, Texas Ranger." However, Sam doesn't appear to be as enthused about that as Padalecki seems to be. This episode originally aired on April 22, 2011.

Following his 15-year run on The CW series, Padalecki will executive produce and star in Walker, a reimagining of Walker, Texas Ranger. The reboot will see the title character return home to Austin as a widower. There, he will continue his work as a cop with a new female partner. Together, they will be "the modern day heroes our world needs, following their own moral code to fight for what’s right, regardless of the rules."

Returning Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW for its final season, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
