Rowena has returned! Despite her death earlier this season, Supernatural brought the Scottish witch back for the mid-season finale -- and she's been promoted.
The CW officially released photos of Rowena from the episode, which revealed she has become the Queen of Hell. The new stills show her decked out in a royal red romper, with her hair in warrior's braids and a snake cinched around her waist. And she didn't come alone; she brought along some demon cronies, who loom menacingly behind her.
This follows her death in the season's third episode, where she sacrificed to send all the souls God released back to hell. She drew all the damned souls and demons into herself, then had Sam kill her to bring them back to hell with her. She left all her personal effects to Sam, giving her death a note of finality.
Airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, the final season of Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
