Supernatural has fought angels and demons and even the Devil -- but now, they're up against the ghost of a serial killer.

Castiel actor Misha Collins shared a new photo from set, which shows him hanging out with the ghost of John Wayne Gacy. In the photo, Gacy is dressed as Pogo the Clown, his infamous alter ego that earned him the nickname "The Killer Clown."

Gacy's ghost originally appeared in "Lebanon," the 300th episode. Sam and Dean encountered him after their car Baby was stolen by a few teenagers, and the kids' unawareness about the occult objects inside allowed his ghost to be released. After they discovered Gacy's cigar box, they opened it, releasing him.

Fortunately, Sam and Dean were able to stop him, but even their hunter knowledge can't stop an act of God. Gacy's ghost returned in "Moriah," the Season 14 finale, when God resurrected all manner of ghosts and ghouls and set them against the Winchester brothers. Gacy was just one of these creatures, so he will likely put in an appearance in the Season 15 premiere.

In the Season 14 finale, Sam and Dean Winchester came to the horrifying realization that the course of their lives had been personally steered by God's whim; every hardship, every tragedy had been crafted by God for his own entertainment. When they pushed back, God retaliated in kind, launching what may well be the end of everything. Heading into Season 15, the Winchesters will have to rail against the Creator himself to find peace at last.

Returning Thursday, October 10 at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW for its final season, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
