It appears to be bloody business as usual for Castiel in Supernatural's upcoming fifteenth and final season based on a new behind-the-scenes photo shared by longtime star Misha Collins.
The photo shows the actor in-costume as the angel Castiel, covered in fake blood as principal photography on the final season continues.

Collins debuted as Castiel during the long-running series' fourth season, introducing Christian theology and tropes to the paranormal show while rescuing Dean's soul from Hell. Originally a much more stern character, Castiel would develop friendships with Sam and Dean Winchester that humanized him as he began to question his work and overseers.
Upgraded to a main cast member in Season 5, Collins would have a recurring role during the seventh and eighth seasons before rejoining the main ensemble in Season 9 for the remainder of the series. With the Winchesters openly warring against God as of Season 14, Castiel will find himself caught in the middle of a holy war for the fate of humanity.
Returning Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW for its final season, Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
