The 20 Most Powerful Supernatural Marvel Characters, Officially Ranked

After a brief flirtation with bankruptcy in the late '90s, Marvel Comics has reemerged as the premiere comic book, movie and television creator for superheroes. With over a decade's worth of blockbuster movies under their belt and critically-acclaimed drama series such as Jessica Jones and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel has been an industry force to be reckoned with. In 2012, it released the definitive superhero team-up movie with The Avengers. The MCU expanded into space with 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, where it showcased new and otherworldly heroes and villains. The last frontier that the MCU has yet to explore is it's supernatural world, which was briefly touched upon during Dr. Strange in 2016.

Marvel's supernatural characters have been around for decades. These characters and stories drew heavily upon the mythologies of H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard over the years, creating some of the most famous Marvel characters such as Dr. Strange and the Scarlet Witch. With the success of Dr. Strange, we can probably expect to see more supernatural characters appear on the big screen sooner rather than later. There have been talks of producing a Blade, The Vampire Hunter movie reboot or revival. There's also been a surge in featuring the next generation of supernatural heroes and villains in the comic books with characters such as Wiccan and Sister Grimm becoming more prominent. CBR takes a look at the top supernatural characters in the Marvel Universe and ranks them by least to most powerful.
