The stars of Supernatural are thanking a longtime fan and health worker for his efforts during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Nurse Eric Thayer recently posted a picture of himself on Twitter wearing a surgical mask inscribed with a pentagram, a common mystical symbol in the world of Supernatural. This prompted a response from Padalecki and Collins.
"Can you check the lore and tell me if this protects against demons AND COVID?" Thayer asked, tagging Collins, Padalecki and their mutual co-star Jensen Ackles.
"We'll fight the demons. You fight the COVID." Collins responded. "Thank you for protecting us. We will always be grateful."
"One of us plays a hero and one of us is a hero," Padalecki added. "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for holding the line."

Collins portrays Castiel, a fallen angel of God. The series is one of the longest-running and most popular television programs in recent history, gaining a strong fan following from individuals like Thayer.
Airing on The CW, the final season of Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
