Following Supernatural star Jared Padalecki's disclosure that he was not contacted regarding the upcoming spinoff series The Winchesters, as well as a request for peace from upset fans, Padalecki and co-star Jensen Ackles have talked it out.The former Supernatural co-star previously posted a series of Tweets detailing how he felt "gutted" when he found out about the show via Ackles' Twitter. Today, Padalecki asked fans not to harass those involved with the production. "Hey world. Thank you for the love," he said on Twitter. "Please PLEASE don't send any hate or threats. I care deeply about everybody involved and would be in true misery if any of them were harmed or threatened." RELATED: The Boys' Jensen Ackles Salutes the Troops in Soldier Boy Concept Art

Shortly after, Padalecki shared that he and Ackles discussed the situation and came to an understanding. "[Jensen Ackles] and I had a great talk, as we often do, and things are good," said Padalecki in a pinned Tweet. "The show is early in the process with miles to go. We've traveled a lot of roads together, and sometimes those damn roads have bumps. Bumps don't stop us. Once brothers, always brothers. #spnfamily."

Ackles, who had not yet responded to the situation since the series was announced, responded with his appreciation for his co-star. "Love you [Jared Padalecki]," Ackles said. "Miss these talks. I forgot how much face time we always used to get. And I miss that too. I know you're busy…as am I, but you're still my brother. I miss you, pal."

The Winchesters, currently in early development at The CW, is produced by Jensen and Daneel Ackles, with the former reprising his role as Dean Winchester, who will serve as the show's narrator. The series is a prequel about Sam and Dean's parents, John and Mary Winchester. While Padalecki's followers remain disappointed that the actor had not been contacted regarding the spin-off, Supernatural fans can at the very least rest easy knowing the show's co-stars have reached an understanding that preserves their bond.

Created by Eric Kripke (The Boys) and starring Ackles and Padalecki as monster-hunting brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, Supernatural ran on The CW for 15 seasons, wrapping its 327-episode run on Nov. 19, 2020. All 15 seasons of Supernatural are currently streaming on Netflix.
