Actor Jared Padalecki -- who stars as Sam Winchester on The CW's long-running drama series Supernatural -- has reportedly been arrested following an incident at a bar in Austin, Texas.

According to TMZ, Padalecki was brought in by Austin police early Sunday morning outside a lounge called Stereotype -- which the actor apparently frequents. According to his booking sheet, Padalecki is being brought up on two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication.

Purported eyewitnesses claim an inebriated Padalecki struck a bartender in the face inside the building. From there, a friend of Padalecki's apparently took him outside to try and calm him down, before the actor put him in a headlock, at which point police intervened. Padalecki allegedly flashed a wad of money at the officers before being detained. Apparent video footage of the sequence of events outside the establishment has been shared by TMZ.

Reports also claim that in addition to the altercation with the bartender, a separate incident took place between Padalecki and Stereotype's general manager -- who he allegedly laid hands on as well. Padalecki's connection to the lounge is unclear, though he certainly seems to go there often.

Some believe Padalecki is an investor in Stereotype and perhaps even owns it, per local reports. Notably, Padalecki and his Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles both operate other businesses -- such as Ackles' brewery, which is located in the Austin area. Moreover, in addition to frequently visiting the bar, he attended its grand opening last year. At this time, however, the actor's official connection to Stereotype -- or lack thereof -- remains unconfirmed.

Padalecki's bond is reportedly set at $15,000 ($5,000 per charge) and it is not yet clear if he has already been bailed out. TMZ claims to have reached out to the actor's team for comment, but have yet to receive a response.

Padalecki and Ackles have starred as the Winchester brothers -- Sam and Dean, respectively -- since the Supernatural's premiere on The WB (now The CW) in 2005. The fantasy television drama is currently in the midst of its 15th and final season.

Airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, the final season of Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
