With only 3 episodes left until the series finale, the long-running CW series Supernatural released a preview for Season 15, Episode 18 "Despair" which promises a major change to Death’s plan, as well as the return of a major -- and beloved -- character.

Previously on Episode 17, "Unity," Billie/Death's original plan was thwarted after Chuck/God reabsorbed his sister Amara/The Darkness making him the most powerful cosmic being in all of creation. All of this means that Death's plan, which involved using Jack Kline (Lucifer's son) to create a God Bomb, will no longer work; God is now powerful enough to zap himself a safe enough distance away to escape the blast. As Death menacingly says, "The plan has changed."

The new "plan," as Death mentions, now involves killing "anybody that’s ever been resurrected," which includes both Dean and Sam Winchester. Not only that, the preview finally reveals the return of a major character: none other than Charlie Bradbury (portrayed by Felicia Day). The original Charlie was was killed off in Season 10, but an alternate reality version of Charlie has appeared in nearly every season since, with the exception of Seasons 11 and 12.

"You're the big man here," Bobby says to Sam in the clip. "You think it’ll work?" This exchange hints that not only has Death's agenda changed, but so has the Winchester's.

Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert, the final episodes of Supernatural air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. Supernatural's final episode is set to air on The CW on Nov. 19. Its 14 seasons are currently streaming on Netflix, with Supernatural's final season being added to the streaming service by the end of November.
