For fifteen seasons, fans of Supernatural have watched the wild story of Sam and Dean Winchester, the tough as nails brothers who have kept the world safe from all things paranormal. We've watched the Winchester Brothers make their way back and forth across the United States as they faced off against vampires, demons, ghosts, and just about every nasty thing everyone secretly fears live in their closets or under their beds.

But what would happen if some wild spell or trick landed Sam and Dean in the DC universe? Handling a wendigo is one thing, but how well would the Winchesters do against the supervillain set? Who can they beat, and who would beat them? The only way to really know is for Sam and Dean to jump into their 1967 Chevrolet Impala and size up the competition.

10 Would Beat: Joker

Joker DC Comics

He may be a big problem for Batman, but for Sam and Dean Winchester, the Joker wouldn't be all that hard to handle. A quick location spell would lead the Winchesters right to the Clown Prince of Crime, and from there, the rest is relatively easy.

The brothers may get thrown for a moment when they realize that Joker isn't possessed or some sort of mythical monster since they don't often deal with regular humans, but once they put that together, a few quick punches from Dean will flip that big old smile upside down.

9 Beat Them: Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor doesn't usually mess around with magic, which could almost give Sam and Dean a one up on the evil billionaire, except for one thing - Lex is one of the smartest people in the world and he is indeed an evil billionaire. Surely Lex has some spellcasters on retainer just in case the Spectre or Doctor Fate decided to come by, and if those spellcasters can handle the literal Vengeance of God, the Winchesters wouldn't be all that hard to beat.

Even if Sam and Dean somehow made it past Luthor's magicians, they would still have to deal with his sci-fi level weaponry. Sam and Dean deal in ancient knives and shotguns filled with rounds of rock salt. They aren't ready to go up against Lex Luthor's power armor with lasers, heat-seeking missiles, and rocket thrusters.

8 Would Beat: Neron

Neron may be a big-time demon in the DC universe, but to Sam and Dean, he's a regular Tuesday night. The Winchesters have handled every demonic trick in the book, and Neron has nothing new to offer in that department. And don't forget that the first time Neron came around during Underworld Unleashed, he was beaten by Trickster, who conned Neron into trying to take the truly pure soul of Shazam.

Growing up, Sam and Dean didn't just learn how to fight the paranormal. Their dad John also taught them to be conmen so they could make money on the road. Sure, it isn't the most legal of lifestyles, but when they're up against Neron, those tricks will come in handy.

7 Beat Them: Ra's al Ghul

The Head of the Demon himself, Ra's al Ghul is not only well versed in the occult, but he's also a master martial artist and swordsman. And to add to the headaches Sam and Dean would have to put up with if they went after Ra's al Ghul is the League of Assassins; some of the greatest fighters the world has ever seen.

When it comes to fighting, Sam and Dean are more barroom brawlers than trained martial artists, and while that may work out when you're dealing with a haunted painting, the brothers will be in for a lot of trouble when a few dozen ninjas show up to protect their leader.

6 Would Beat: Mad Monk

Batman and the Mad Monk

The leader of a cult called the Brotherhood, the Mad Monk is a vampire who comes with all the fun vampire fixings, including immortality, drinking blood, and super senses. For a lot of heroes, vampires can be a real hassle, but this is exactly the kind of fight Sam and Dean look for.

Once they track down the Brotherhood, Sam and Dean would take out the Mad Monk and his crew pretty quickly. A few darts tipped with the blood of a dead man, a few syringes of Vamptonite, and some sharp tools to sever heads from bodies, and the Winchester Brothers can be done with the job before the bars close.

5 Beat Them: Black Adam

DCeased Black Adam feature

The ruler of Kahndaq, Black Adam is a mystical powerhouse who can take on any hero the DC universe throws at him, and in most cases, Black Adam would win. The archnemesis of Shazam, Black Adam was also granted his powers by the Wizard Shazam at the Rock of Eternity, but unlike Billy Batson, Teth-Adam was corrupted by the power and became evil.

If the Winchesters ever showed their face in Kahndaq - which isn't likely since Dean is afraid of flying - Black Adam would squash them like bugs in an instant.

4 Would Beat: Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy rises out of the swamp in DC Comics

Based on the 19th-century nursery rhyme of the same name, Solomon Grundy is one of DC's creepier villains. Created by the Parliament of Trees to be a Plant Elemental, Solomon Grundy was supposed to protect the world but his creation did not go as planned and now Grundy is unable to work as intended.

Whenever he is killed, a new version of Grundy is created in Slaughter Swamp, and while these versions share many qualities, they are all distinct. Solomon Grundy is strong and tough, but he's not very smart and tends to be easily tricked. This, along with their knowledge of magic, is where the Winchesters would get the upper hand.

3 Beat Them: Trigon

The extra-dimensional demon father of Raven, Trigon is the type of villain that no one should ever take lightly. Trigon has taken on the Titans numerous times, and while they've been successful in defeating him, it always comes down to Raven and a lot of luck; and those are two things the Winchesters don't really have.

The kinds of spells Sam knows or can read up on are good against some of your more common baddies, but they won't do anything to Trigon. And as for Dean, a shot of rock salt is about as useful against Trigon as a rubber band would be if you were fighting an elephant. This six-eyed demon would make Sam and Dean his lunch.

2 Would Beat: Felix Faust

Felix Faust is a great and evil magician who has caused a lot of problems in the DC universe over the years, but he's also a real moron who can't get out of his own way. The easiest way to beat Faust is to let him just beat himself, which he'll eventually do because his ego is much bigger than his actual magical abilities.

This wouldn't be an easy win for Sam and Dean, but in time they would figure out that Felix Faust's greatest weakness is his need for more and more power. Sure, the magical items he already has should be enough to get the job done, but if you even hint to him that you know about something even more powerful, he'll want it. A little trickery and the next thing you know, the Winchesters have trapped Faust.

1 Beat Them: Barbatos

Barbatos

Created by the World Forger to consume decaying universes, Barbatos nearly destroyed all of the DC universes during Dark Knights: Metal when he stopped eating the unstable worlds and created the Dark Multiverse. It took the might of the Justice League, the Over-Monitor, and heroes from every universe to stop Barbatos from destroying all of reality, and in doing so, the heroes broke open the Source Wall, releasing Perpetua.

Sam and Dean are smart and resourceful, but dealing with multiverses, ancient Bat-Gods and Monitors is way above their paygrade. Even if Castiel showed up to help out, the Winchesters would end up as greasy stains on Barbatos's boots.
