While Warner Bros. Montréal's next game may be Gotham Knights, rumors abound that the studio is also developing a Superman game. While the existence of another AAA IP project at Warner Bros. Montréal was previously known thanks to a published job listing, insiders have begun to hint that the mystery IP could be Superman. This information comes by way of James Sigfield, notable for leaking both the upcoming Gotham Knights game and Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Sigfield tweeted several images of Superman in response to the news of Warner Bros. Montréal next game, causing speculation amongst fans.Related: My Adventures with Superman Is a Christopher Reeve-Inspired Rom-Com

In response to an article suggesting that the studio's next game won't be a DC Comics related IP, Sigfield tweeted, "1) WB Montreal only makes DC games 2) Superman, if they were to make it, would be a new IP, in the same way that Gotham Knights is a new IP." Rumors were fueled further when fans noticed that several of Sigfield's tweets discussing a potential Superman game were liked by Patrick Redding, Warner Bros. Montréal's Creative Director.

While the existence of a Superman game has yet to be confirmed, fans remain hopeful that they'll eventually be able to step into the red boots of Kal-El and take to the skies. Recently, a video of a demo for a fan-made Superman game was released on Reddit. Developed in a few weeks with the early access build of Unreal Engine 5, the brief clip shows Superman in his iconic red and blue costume zipping into the sky over what appears to be New York City.
