Writer Tom Taylor would love to tackle the story of Green Arrow and Black Canary someday.Taylor responded to a fan on Twitter saying that the pairing is one he would try to make a comic for at some point in his career. "I'll try to make a Green Arrow and Black Canary comic happen one day," he said, "Love Ollie and Dinah too much not write a full story for them at least once." Taylor already writes a plethora of books for DC Comics, and the label has been seeing more Green Arrow and Black Canary content as well.RELATED: Superman: Jon Kent Is About to Go to War With DC’s Madripoor

Taylor is currently one of the creative minds behind both Nightwing and Superman: Son of Kal-El, along with Dark Ages for Marvel Comics, which saw its first issue release this past week. In Nightwing, Taylor has been turning Dick Grayson into a driving force for change and philanthropist in the city of Blüdhaven, working to end homelessness and poverty through efforts aside from his crime-fighting alter ego. The writer has also been cultivating a fan favorite relationship between Dick and Barbara Gordon.

Another major relationship from DC is the romance between Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and Black Canary (Dinah Lance). The two can currently be seen in the pages of Brian Michael Bendis' Justice League series, which gives the two roles as major players in the league, along with Oliver bankrolling the team while Batman cannot. Both characters have and will be making their rounds in other books though, as Green Arrow can also be seen in Checkmate by Bendis and will be featured in next month's Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target book by Brandon Thomas. Black Canary will also be joining Slade Wilson in Deathstroke Inc., the book set to release this month.

Fans may one day see Taylor tackle this duo in the future, or maybe someday soon. The writer has already teased more of the Super Sons, the pairing between Jon Kent and Damian Wayne, for his Superman series, and hinted at an interaction with Dick Grayson for the series in Nightwing #83. His Nightwing series has already seen many appearances from Bat Family members and other heroes, meaning he is not against pulling other DC Comics characters into his stories.

For now though, fans will have to settle for the writer at least being interested in helming a book to feature the emerald archer and sonic songbird one day. Fans can pick up the next issues of Superman: Son of Kal-El and Nightwing on Sept. 21, 2021 from DC Comics.
