SUPERMAN RETURNS

There's two new photos from the Bryan Singer-led DC adaptation, including one at IGN's FilmForce showing an issue of the Daily Planet, and one over at Superhero Hype of actor Sam Huntington looking befuddled in character as Jimmy Olsen.

In largely unrelated Superman news, World's Finest has an shot of the cover to the direct to video animated feature: "Superman: Brainiac Attacks."

SPAWN

Ambition is in no short supply for Todd McFarlane who is noted at Variety's Comics Blog as planning "to finance, write, produce and direct himself by the end of the year for less than $10 million."

AQUAMAN

There's new notes up at Aquaman TV, with a photo of actress Daniella Wolters, who will play Arthur Curry's Atlantean mother, and Graham Bentz as a young Arthur Curry. They also are reinforcing the idea that the show will be called "Mercy Reef," and that filming starts next week.

X-MEN 3

According to Sci Fi Wire, actor Kelsey Grammer eased into his furry role as Dr. Hank McCoy. "They were very open to the idea," Grammer said. "And there may have been reluctance at first. I don't know how many people thought, 'Oh, no, Frasier as Beast? Oh, my.' But they put that behind them quickly enough." He did settle concerns about his action chops: "There is another guy that dresses up like me and jumps around. ... But I've always been a fairly athletic guy myself, so it's not hard to buy that I'm capable of rending people in half."

SMALLVILLE

Fresh spoilers about the twentieth episode, "Fade," due on April 27th? Kryptonsite is happy to oblige. Meanwhile the latest chapter of the Vengeance Chronicles features a return to Level 33.1, last mentioned in the season four episode "Jinx," plus a very parenthetical Teen Titans reference.

WONDER WOMAN

Empire Online has a new interview with creator Joss Whedon, who said, "I am still writing 'Wonder Woman.' It is very awesome but incredibly unfinished, but I should be finishing that in a little while and then IÕll have a better idea of which film is actually going into production. But I can tell you that the film will be about introducing you to Wonder Woman. She'll be wearing the outfit and there will be the bracelets, the golden lasso and Greek gods. She comes from a civilization where she's rather perfect, so she's the opposite to Buffy in many ways, but she's going through an adolescent rite of passage because she's new to the world."

THAT'S A WRAP

Here's where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
