SUPERMAN RETURNS

There'a a big load of photos from a Sydney set visit over at the Superman Homepage, with some slight spoilers for the film after the photo gallery.

PUNISHER 2

According to Sci Fi Wire, actor Thomas Jane has been getting his exercise on. "I've been in the gym for seven weeks now," Jane said. "I've already put on 12 pounds of muscle. They want to start going before the end of the year. Ideally I'd like to see the film come out in the fall of 2006, but I don't have any control over that."

CHASSISAccording to a press release, four-time Academy Award winner Ben Burtt has been attached to direct the live action feature film adaptation of Hurricane Entertainment's comic book property "Chassis." When asked what attracted him to Chassis, Ben replied "Well, I love fantasy and adventure. The setting for 'Chassis' provides a wonderful escapism. I see a hint of the same magic I felt when working on the first 'Star Wars' and Indy films. I think today's audiences will be surprised and receptive to Chassis. It's going to be something they haven't seen before." The short will have its world premiere at the San Diego Comic Con, Saturday, July 16TH at 1 PM, in room 5-AB.

FANTASTIC FOUR

In case you've been living under a rock, it seems that Marvel released a movie last weekend. According to BoxOfficeMojo, the Tim Story-helmed film hauled in a respectable $56 million, which also snapped the box office slump that's been all the rage in the news for months. of course we've got two reviews of the movie right here at CBR, plus a chance for you to give your opinion. We also have an interview with director Tim Story and exec Avi Arad and a sit-down with the whole cast.

Meanwhile, a site called vfxblog has an interview with sos vfx's Allan Magled and Berj Bannayan, who made Ioan Gruffudd the flexible character he is today.

Finally, just in case you were worried, Arad told the Los Angeles Times, "Of course, there will be a sequel. Now the constituency is much larger."

JUSTICE LEAGUE

There's an excellent interview with creative mastermind Dwayne McDuffie at Toon Zone, where he discusses the whys and wherefores for the big goings on for the end of the season, the mystery of aglets and just why it's okay for Superman and Captain Marvel to beat the hell out of each other in the middle of Metropolis.

SPIDER-MAN 3

What? According to IESB (Windows Media required), legendary composer Danny Elfman is jumping on to another spider-related film, leaving the project to work on "Charlotte's Web."

TEEN TITANSComics Continuum has the network description for the season finale, "The End," which goes a little something like this: "The stars are aligned. The sun is in eclipse. All of Slade's labors are about to reach fruition -- and the Teen Titans are about to face their greatest challenge ever. But they question if there is really any hope of preventing the end of the world." They also note that Ron Perlman (Slade), Khary Payton (Cyborg), Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Hynden Walch (Starfire) and Tara Strong (Raven) will all be at Comicon's "Teen Titans" event on Saturday, alongside producers David Slack and Glenn Murakami.
