To figure out what is wrong with the Great Darkness in Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, Nightwing, Superman Jon Kent and other DC heroes hold the very first "super-seance."

In Dark Crisis, the villain Pariah has fallen under the influence of the Great Darkness -- a primordial force representing all that is dark within the Multiverse -- and has enslaved Deathstroke and other villains for his mission of bringing back the infinite Multiverse that existed prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths series by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. In a preview for Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green #1 written by Ram V., Alex Paknadel and Dan Watters with art from various artists, Doctor Fate reveals that something has corrupted the Great Darkness somehow. To figure out what, the heroes come up with a plan to hold the "super-seance" -- a name coined by John Constantine -- and try to understand their foe.

While Nightwing, Wonder Girl Yara Flor, Fate and Jade are present for the task, the mission involves Jon, Swamp Things Alec Holland and Levi Kamei, Raven and Constantine traveling into Alan Scott's Green Lantern ring mixed with darkness provided by Obsidian. It is explained in the preview that the magical fire from the ring and Obsidian's darkness will allow the heroes to get close to the Great Darkness and investigate it, with each hero being chosen for a specific reason once they are inside the construct reality.

Written by Mark Waid and drawn by Dan Jurgens and others, the issue will explore the new Multiverse and include worlds from other DC titles, like the medieval Dark Knights of Steel, the prehistoric Jurassic League and more.
