A new poster coinciding with the home digital release of Justice League shows a silhouette of Superman hovering over what is, presumably, the Kent Farm in Smallville."The light of hope," the post from the Justice League Movie Twitter account reads. The poster is one of very few for the movie featuring the Man of Steel, as -- with the exception of a few initial materials -- as the studio avoided featuring the character in the lead-up to Justice League, seemingly an effort to preserve the surprise of his post-Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice return.

There were also long-standing rumors that the Man of Steel would don his black suit for the film. Although the suit is absent from the final product, a deleted scene and clip for Justice League have revealed that it almost made an appearance.

Justice League wasn’t the commercial or critical success the DC Extended Universe hoped for, grossing $657 million worldwide (compared to $821.8 million for Wonder Woman earlier in 2017) and dividing fans. There are some doubts as to whether a sequel to the film will get made. Yet reports suggest that Warner Bros. are still planning a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel.
