Warner Bros. has assembled a cast that includes Arrowverse alum Darren Criss, Star Trek Beyond star Zachary Quinto and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Brett Dalton for its upcoming Superman: Man of Tomorrow animated film.

EW reports the film, which sees Clark Kent "working as an intern for the Daily Planet and learning on the job how to save the city of Metropolis," has also enlisted Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch) and Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead). Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3), Neil Flynn (Scrubs) and Bellamy Young (Scandal) will also star.

Criss will lead the cast as the Man of Steel himself, with Quinto filling the role of his arch nemesis Lex Luthor. Hurst will play the deadly villain Parasite, whose life-sucking superpowers can harm even Superman. Daddario will lend her voice to Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, while Aamadi fills the role of J'onn J'onnz, aka Martian Manhunter. Dalton will swing in as the bounty hunter Lobo. Flynn and Young will play Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively.

The cast announcement also included a first look at the film, with an image that showed Superman and Luthor side-by-side. They stand before a giant computer console with reams of data on its glowing green screen.

The film takes its name from Superman: The Man of Tomorrow, a comic series that launched in 1995 and ran for 16 issues until 1999. Roger Stern, Louise Simonson, J.M. DeMatteis, Tom Grummett and Ryan Sook, among others, contributed to the series during that time.

Directed by Chris Palmer, Superman: Man of Tomorrow stars Darren Criss as Clark Kent/Superman, Zachary Quinto as Lex Luthor, Alexandra Daddario as Lois Lane, Brett Dalton as Lobo, Ryan Hurst as Rudy Jones/Parasite, Ike Aamadi as Martian Manhunter, Neil Flynn as Jonathan Kent and Bellamy Young as Martha Kent. The film arrives on Digital HD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD this summer.
