It was recently announced that The CW would soon be adding a new superhero series to its ever-expanding Arrowverse: Superman & Lois, starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. The series, which is expected to air sometime in the 2020-21 TV season, will effectively replace Arrow, which will soon conclude its eighth and final season.Now, Arrow star Stephen Amell, the Arrowverse's original superhero, has reacted to the announcement.

"@tylerhoechlin & @BitsieTulloch are two of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of [working] with," Amell tweeted. "Superman & Lois is going to be a hit! Go get em guys!"

Tulloch, in turn, thanked the actor by telling him he will be missed following his departure at the end of Arrow's final season. "Ditto," she wrote. "Will miss you during crossover season."

The CW's Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, with The Flash's Todd Helbing attached as showrunner. The new Arrowverse series is expected to debut during the 2020-21 TV season. Tulloch and Hoechlin will next appear in the upcoming crossover, "Crisis on Infinite Earths." The television event begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
