Production on the second half of Superman & Lois is underway and the weather onset seems to match the idyllic setting of Smallville.Elizabeth Tulloch, who plays Lois Lane, recently posted a behind-the-scenes video to Twitter that features the sun shining on the Kent farm set. "The weather in Vancouver today almost makes up for the weather the last 6 months," Tulloch wrote.
Superman & Lois previously paused production due to a positive coronavirus (COVID-19) test. Supergirl is currently airing its final season during the brief hiatus, with Superman & Lois set to return with all-new episodes in May. A new trailer for Superman & Lois teased the challenges that the Man of Steel and his family will face in the second half of Season 1, including Captain Luthor discovering the superpower-enabling X-Kryptonite.
In the first half of Superman & Lois, Lois came into conflict with billionaire Morgan Edge. Edge bought out the Daily Planet -- which led to Lois quitting the paper -- and is currently overseeing mining operations in Smallville, where he is excavating X-Kryptonite. A new wrinkle has also reared its head in the form of Captain Luthor, who was married to his Earth's version of Lois Lane before Superman turned against humanity.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series returns May 18 and will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
