The Arrowverse will continue to expand with the upcoming Superman & Lois, a series that grants the franchise's Clark Kent and Lois Lane the spotlight. Building on the events of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, the show finds Clark and Lois dealing with the stress of being working parents, on top of all the challenges that come with Clark's secret life as Superman.

Superman and Lois will also introduce some major DC Comics characters to the Arrowverse, in addition to recasting two who previously showed up on Supergirl. With the show's premiere on The CW just around the corner, here's a guide to the Superman & Lois cast and the characters they're playing.

Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin)

Crisis on Infinite Earths Tyler Hoechlin Superman

Also known by his birth name, Kal-El, Clark Kent is an extraterrestrial from the now-dead planet Krypton who came to Earth as a young child and was raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent in the rural town of Smallville, Kansas. Superman & Lois will kick-off by following Clark as he returns to his hometown "to handle some Kent family business," all while keeping a lid on his secret identity as Superman. Clark is portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin, who previously played the character on Supergirl and reprised his role for the Arrowverse's "Elseworlds" and "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossovers.

Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch)

Lois Lane is a journalist famed for her hard-hitting investigative writing at Metropolis' newspaper, The Daily Planet. While working at the paper, she met and fell in love with Clark, ultimately learning the truth about who he is and settling down to begin a family with him. Superman & Lois will follow Lois and she and Clark do their best to handle the pressures of their careers, all while wondering if their sons "could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older." Lois is played by Elizabeth Tulloch, who first portrayed the character in the "Elseworlds" crossover before returning for "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

Jonathan Kent (Jordan Elsass)

Jonathan Kent (Jordan Elsass) from Superman and Lois

Created by Dan Jurgens for DC Comics in 2015, Jonathan Samuel Kent is Clark and Lois' son and is named after his grandfathers, Jonathan Kent and Samuel Lane. Superman & Lois' version of the character is described as "clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated." Jonathan eventually becomes Superboy in the DC Comics Universes, though it's unclear if the Arrowverse will follow suit in that regard. He is played by Jordan Elsass, who is best known for his role as Trip Richardson on Little Fires Everywhere.

Jordan Kent (Alexander Garfin)

Jordan Kent is Jonathan's brother and appears to be a character created specifically for Superman & Lois. He is described as "wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limit his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games." Jordan is played by Alex Garfin, who voiced both Linus in The Peanuts Movie and the character Stripes on the animated TV series Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets.

Created by Robert Bernstein and Kurt Schaffenberger for DC Comics in 1959, General Samuel Lane is Lois' father and a high-ranking general in the U.S. Army. Superman & Lois' version of the character is described as "a no-nonsense Army general who’s determined to keep America, and the world, safe from all threats -- from this world or beyond" and is said to be a "workaholic who demands nothing but excellence from all those in his life." He was portrayed by Glenn Morshower in Supergirl Season 1, but has been recast for Superman & Lois with Dylan Walsh of Nip/Tuck and Blue Bloods fame.

Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui)

Lana Lang has traditionally been Clark's first love since she was introduced to the DC Comics Universe in 1950 and will once again serve that role on Superman & Lois. Upon returning to Smallville on the series, Clark and Lois will become reacquainted with Lana, who's now working as a "local loan officer" at Smallville Banks and is similarly married with kids. Lana is played by Emmanuelle Chriqui, who's better known for her roles on TV shows like Entourage and The Passage.

Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez)

Superman & Lois' Lana Lang will be married to Kyle Cushing, who serves as Smallville's local Fire Chief. The character is described as having seen "his fair share of tragedy" and is said to be big on "small-town beliefs." Because of this, he "doesn’t care much for the big city and often butts heads with people that come from it," which may lead to tension between him, Clark and Lois. Kyle is played by Erik Valdez, who's best known for playing Trey Mitchell on General Hospital.

Sarah Cushing (Inde Navarrette)

Sarah Cushing is Lana and Kyle's daughter and is described as being "a whip-smart, supercool wild child with some demons in her past." According to the Superman & Lois synopsis, Jonathan and Jordan will quickly rekindle their friendship with Sarah upon returning to Smallville, which may lead to the three of them getting into trouble together. Sarah is played by Inde Navarrette, who's best known for her roles on Denton's Death Date and 13 Reasons Why.

Created by Jack Kirby for DC Comics in 1970, Morgan Edge is a media mogul and often serves as an antagonist. Superman & Lois' version of the character is described as being "an intelligent, eloquent and impassioned self-made mogul whose innate ability to motivate is the means to his success and others’ demise.” Morgan was played by Adrian Pasdar on Supergirl Season 3 but will be brought to life by Tyrant and The Fix actor Adam Rayner in the Arrowverse's new continuity.

The Stranger (Wole Parks)

The Stranger (Wole Parks) from Superman and Lois

The Stranger is a Superman & Lois villain who's described as "a mysterious visitor hellbent on proving to the world that it no longer needs Superman." The character is presumed to be the mysterious armored figure briefly glimpsed in the Superman & Lois trailer, though for now, it's unclear if they're a brand-new character or a classic DC Comics antagonist in disguise. They are played by Wolé Parks, who previously tackled roles on The CW in The Vampire Diaries and All American.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series premieres Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 pm ET on The CW.
