The cast of the upcoming Superman & Lois series on The CW would like to see a lot of different team-ups on the show, but the one they favor the most is one with none other than the Dark Knight himself.

"What is your superhero dream team?" asks a promotional video posted by the CW Network. "You could go with Batman," says Alexander Garfin, who plays Clark and Lois' son Jordan Kent on the series. "I wanna see Batman," echoes Jordan Elsass, who plays the couple's other son Jonathan.

"I would love to see Batman/Superman," adds star Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Clark Kent/Superman. "I wanna see them work together." The latter statement was echoed by Elsass.

Hoechlin went so far as to add which Bat-villains he'd like to see the World's Finest duo face. "I like a little Two-Face, a little Joker action."

Superman & Lois chronicles the life of the Kents in the family’s hometown of Smallville. Hoechlin’s incarnation of Superman was previously introduced on The CW’s Supergirl.

Viewers have yet to see a full-on appearance of the Dark Knight within the Arrowverse. The CW's Batwoman previously featured Kate Kane, played by Ruby Rose, who's the cousin of Batman alter ego Bruce Wayne, but that series takes place in the wake of Bruce's disappearance. Last season's Arrowverse crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths" featured Kevin Conroy as an older, alternate Bruce Wayne who had already hung up the cape.

FOX's Gotham showed the journey of a young Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, on his way to becoming Batman, but that series wasn't part of The CW's Arrowverse.

The ever-popular Batman has seen even more interest in recent days, with DC's recent announcement of Batman '89 by Sam Hamm and Joe Quinones, set within the continuity of Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film, and based on the character's look established by Michael Keaton.

In modern history, the character has been heard of, but largely unseen on television. Should Superman & Lois' cast get their wish, a successful introduction of the Dark Knight into Arrowverse continuity could lead to a possible permanent home for Batman on the small screen.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series premieres Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
