Superman revealed his identity to the greater DC Universe. While some responded to the revelation with a certain amount of fury and others were more conflicted by it, many of the Man of Steel's fellow heroes are happy for him.

In Superman: Heroes, it becomes clear that perhaps the hero who's most excited for him is Booster Gold, as it lifts a burden he's had on his shoulders since the day he came to the past. Booster Gold can finally reveal he's known Superman's secret identity for years and is happy to finally be able to share it without breaking the time stream.

FUTURE MAN

The reveal of Superman's secret identity has sent ripples throughout DC Universe's superhero community. Many of his fellow heroes are supportive of the Man of Steel's newfound openness, while some (notably Batman) have their own personal reservations. But Booster Gold is relieved to finally see the secret come to light. Booster Gold -- aka Michael Carter -- was born centuries in the future. Originally hailing from 25th century Gotham City, Michael was a star athlete who was disgraced for taking bets on his own games.

He eventually got a job at a museum dedicated to superheroes of the 21st century, who were icons in his time. Michael stole a bunch of equipment and came back to the past in an attempt to carve out a new life for himself and eventually became a genuine hero in his own right. It makes sense, given his original place in the time stream, that Booster Gold would be privy to some very important aspects of the DC Universe that are typically considered secrets in the present day. He's always done his best not to reveal secrets about the future to his new peers, but some of them have been harder to keep hidden than others.

THE SECRET

While Superman is busy disclosing his identity to an assembled group of Earth's heroes, the attention shifts to Booster Gold. He's standing alone on a mountain overlooking some ruins, taking the moment to be alone and enjoy something he's known since coming to the past. Checking the time, he realizes in Metropolis it's officially "Miracle Monday." This means Booster Gold can finally openly share his knowledge, which he shouts to the sky in joy. Superman immediately flies to his location, fearing Booster Gold is in trouble and calling for him because he needs help.

However, Booster is just excited to voice the secret he's been holding onto for years, terrified he would accidentally let it slip to the world too early. Booster reveals a few small things about the potential future to Superman, teasing just how important the day Superman revealed his identity is. He suggests that what comes next for Superman will be a more important period than anything that came before. This is backed up by Booster Gold's disclosure that the day becomes known as a holiday called "Miracle Monday," which is still recognized centuries into the future.
